Filigree enamel tripod furnace with three lions playing ball pattern

[filigree enamel three-lion ball-shaped cauldron furnace]

filigree enamel three-lion ball-shaped cauldron furnace in the late Ming Dynasty, with a height of 21.3 cm and a diameter of 14.2 cm
The furnace is round, with deep belly, piercing ears and three feet, and its shape is modeled after the bronze sacrificial vessels of the Shang and Zhou dynasties. The mouth edge and ears are decorated with copper gilding and flower carving. The whole body is made of blue enamel, with red, yellow, dark green, sapphire blue, white, ochre and other colors as patterns. The belly is decorated with three lions playing ball patterns, three lions jumping and chasing fireballs, which are lively and auspicious. The round bottom is decorated with three large lotus flowers
Looking at the filigree enamel handicrafts, from the Ming Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, there were few works of lion play ball pattern decoration, because the enamel material had difficult to control the fluidity during the firing process, and the pattern was easy to change, and it was impossible for a skilled craftsman to make a concrete pattern. The lion pattern of this work was clear and accurate, and it was the crystallization of exquisite craftsmanship
