The box is round with red paint flat cover. The center of the cover is carved with a blooming lotus flower surrounded by flowers. The cover wall and the box body are decorated with six wishful head-shaped blooms, which are carved with precious flowers. The blooms are separated by tangled ganoderma lucidum patterns. There is yellow ground between the patterns, without brocade pattern. This box is skillfully carved and polished
The surface of this box is red paint. From the section of the knife edge, it can be seen that the red, yellow and green paint are used three times, with a total of nine layers. The technology is basically similar to the features shown in the “multicolor carved paint” recorded in Huang Cheng’s “Xiu Shi Lu”: the yellow paint is exposed between the patterns, and the brocade pattern is not carved; The method of painting is like picking rhinoceros.
