The earliest handed down products of Ming Dynasty imitated Ge kiln porcelain are the products of Jingdezhen official kiln in Xuande period. The shapes include chrysanthemum bowl, chicken heart bowl, chrysanthemum plate, folded edge plate, skimming plate, etc., and most of them have the blue and white Xuande model year. The glaze of these wares has a low finish and a greasy feeling, which is similar to the glaze of Ge ware in the Song Dynasty, but also has orange peel, a typical feature of Xuande official ware. The glaze color is cyan grey, moon white, etc., and the opening grain is slightly black and red, which does not have the effect of “golden wire” and “purple iron foot” of Song Ge’s glaze.
