[Xuande style filigree enamel melon fruit pattern box]

Xuande style filigree enamel melon fruit pattern box, Ming Xuande, 4.6 cm high, 11.9 cm in diameter. The old collection of the Qing Palace
The box is round, straight wall and flat top. The cover is made of blue enamel and decorated with two large watermelons to be picked when they are ripe, implying “double happiness”. The straight wall ring is decorated with red, yellow, blue and white lotus patterns. In the center of the cover and the outer bottom, the regular script of “Da Ming Xuan De Nian System” is engraved in the inscription
This box uses the halo dyeing technique to express the fruits and melons, reflecting the superb craftsmanship. The style font is strong and double, which is rare in enamel
