Blue and white twining lotus pattern holding pot, with a total height of 15.3 cm, a caliber of 4.8 cm, and a foot diameter of 7.7 cm
The pot has a straight mouth, a round belly, and a circle of feet. A curved flow is arranged on one side to strengthen the flow of the pot. A cloud shaped cross plate is connected between the flow and the neck, and a crank is arranged on the other side. The whole body is decorated with blue and white flowers. The neck is painted with a lotus pattern, the handle is painted with a honeysuckle pattern, the root of the flow is painted with a dragon head, and the dragon opens its mouth and glares to make a flow. The front of the flow is printed with the blue and white regular script “Da Ming Xuan De Nian System” in six characters and a line, and the outer blue and white double-line rectangular frame. The pot is attached with an umbrella-shaped cover, with a pearl button on the top, and the cover is painted with a broken branch pattern
The size of this pot is moderate. In structure, it tends to be rationalized by changing the disadvantages of the short flow part of the holding pot in the Tang Dynasty and the long flow part of the holding pot in the Song and Yuan Dynasties. Its model year is not on the bottom, but on the stream. Looking at the ceramic pots of China’s past dynasties, this way of payment is unique to the Xuande Dynasty. In addition, some of the porcelain models of Xuande official kilns are also placed on the mouth, neck, shoulder, abdomen, etc. of the objects, so there is a saying that “Xuande porcelain models are all over the body”.
