The bottle has a small mouth, a round lip, a short neck, a large shoulder, and a wide circle of feet. Full body blue and white decoration. The shoulder is painted with a deformed lotus petal pattern with a flower inside. The bottle body is painted with broken flowers and fruits, three in size, respectively pomegranates, loquats, cherries, grapes, and litchi. A circle of banana leaf patterns is painted near the foot, and there is no glaze on the plain bottom. This vase is a palace utensil fired by Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Factory during the Yongle Period of the Ming Dynasty. This kind of plum vase has few complete utensils handed down from generation to generation and is very valuable
This plum vase is made of pure white, fine workmanship and skilled blue and white painting. The blue-and-white cobalt material used in the Yongle period is an imported material called “Su Ma Li Qing”, which has a high iron content and a thick green color, often with rust spots. The blue and white cobalt material in this bottle is a typical imported material. Under the background of white tire, the blue and white under the glaze is green and colorful, and the flowers and fruits are covered with brown iron crystal spots, which is like a traditional ink painting, and is scattered naturally
During the Yongzheng and Qianlong periods of the Qing Dynasty, the official kilns used to imitate this vase. Its shape and glaze color were close to the original. However, the iron crystal spots of the blue and white flowers were too uniform and fine, which was different from the natural blooming style of the Yongle blue and white flowers.
