Reddish lotus disc, Ming Yongle, height 4.3 cm, caliber 32.3 cm, foot diameter 25 cm. The old collection of the Qing Palace
Round, diffuse and shallow, circle foot. Both inside and outside are carved with yellow lacquer patterns. Seven lotus flowers with twining branches are carved inside the plate, and 10 lotus flowers with twining branches are carved outside the plate. At the left foot of the outsole, the knife is engraved with the regular script of “Da Ming Xuan De Nian System” in gold, under which the masked “Da Ming Yongle Nian System” stitches can be seen
The carving of this plate is different from other flower works of the same period in detail processing. It does not carve the veins in detail, but only outlines the outline lines, making the lotus pattern with tangled branches more decorative.
