Tortoise buttons are rough in shape, majestic in momentum, and thick in print. Five words of “General Ming Wei’s Seal” are chiseled on the surface of the printing knife, which is hasty and untidy. In fact, the “seal” character is only carved on the upper half of the character, which is the characteristics of the seal of the Northern Wei Dynasty. The “seal of the champion general” and “seal of the high city marquis” unearthed in Jingxian County, Hebei Province, are the objects of the Northern Wei Dynasty in the 8th year of Taihe (484), which can be proved to be the same as this seal.
