Red peony tread

[Red peony tread]

Red peony tread, Ming Yongle, 15 cm high, 51 cm long and 19.8 cm wide. The old collection of the Qing Palace
The foot is rectangular, waist girdle, flower tooth edge, inverted horseshoe foot, and bottom bearing mud. Carve red paint patterns on the yellow paint plain ground. Seven peonies in full bloom are carved on several sides, with luxuriant branches and leaves. The waist is carved with an echo pattern for one week, and other parts are carved with camellia, chrysanthemum, pomegranate, gardenia, ganoderma lucidum, etc
This pedal has a regular shape, solid and heavy, and is a rare type of existing early Ming lacquerware. Although it has no style, its paint color is pure, large flowers and leaves, plump and full, and its carving is mellow. It has a typical Yongle Dynasty carved paint style, and can be called a high-quality product.
