The inscription on this page reads: “Xu Wei, the Ivy Way Taoist, wrote in the Plum Blossom Hall on the Spring Moon in Renchen, Wanli”, with the seal of “Xu Wei’s private seal”, “Tianchi Mountain People”, “Xiang Guan Zhai”, and the first seal of “Gongsun Aunt”. There is a postscript written by Zhang Duxing. There are 15 seals in the collection, such as “Yue Zhai Appreciation”, “Yan Na’s Seal” and “Zhang Duxing Seal”
This article is written by Emperor Wu of Liang Dynasty, Mi Fu, Huang Tingjian, Su Shi, etc. “Wanli Renchen” is the 20th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1592). Xu Wei was 72 years old. “On Calligraphy” is adept at using the brush, with elegant lines and winding coils. The characters are closely related to each other. The Teton rhythm is rich in variety, and the official script is used to make the font ancient and elegant. This volume is the masterpiece of Xu Wei in his later years.
