It is said that Cai Lun in the Eastern Han Dynasty once tried to make paper from bamboo, and achieved results. However, due to the complexity of bamboo paper manufacturing process, it needs to go through many processes, such as bamboo breaking, boiling, fermentation, crushing, pulp mixing, curtain passing, drying, etc., so its mass production began in the Song Dynasty. By the Ming Dynasty, with the progress of paper-making technology, bamboo as a raw material for paper making was cheap, and bamboo paper began to occupy the leading position in the manufacturing and use of paper industry. Bamboo paper has good performance and has been praised by scholars.
