The former tablet was carved in March of the second year of Jianning, Emperor Ling (169), with 17 lines and 36 lines; The later tablet was inscribed in April of the first year of Jianning (168), with 14 lines and 36 characters. The full name of the front tablet is “Stele of Han and Lu Xiang Shichen’s Sacrifice to Confucius Temple”, and the full name of the rear tablet is “Stele of Han and Lu Xiang Shichen’s Sacrifice to Confucius Temple”. The inscription records the situation of Lu Xiang Shichen’s Sacrifice to Confucius. There are four lines of inscriptions on the official script of the Tang Dynasty
The Stele of Shi Chen is a typical example of the calligraphy of the Han Dynasty during its mature period, which has a profound impact on later generations. Guo Zongchang of the Ming Dynasty said: “The division method is elegant and elegant, which can be a model for hundreds of generations, and is not comparable to later generations.” Fang Shuoyun of the Qing Dynasty said: “The calligraphy is grand and deep, ancient and thick, with both structure and meaning. Xun is the product of the temple, and it is also eight authentic.”
This rubbing is the Ming rubbing in the Palace Museum, and the black ink is refined into the “autumn” character of “Spring and Autumn Salute” without losing its original. Each page is 23.6 cm vertically and 14.4 cm horizontally. There are two inscriptions by Shi Zhang and Gong Jian, and two seals by “Yilao”
