The calligraphy of “Seven Rhymes” is ancient and vigorous, elegant and round, and has a straightforward and open attitude. The writing is clear, fluent and proficient, and the reasoning is superb. Wen Zhengming of the Ming Dynasty said, “I will be my author Zhou Sheng one day.” In the book Shulin Zaojian, Ma Zonghuo said that his calligraphy “is modeled after the model text, and it is too late to find a new way”.
