Blue jade, nose button. The printed text is in seal script and white text. From the top right, read the four words “King’s Seal of the Yuan City”. This print is very square and regular. This seal is the seal of the king of Wei when the Ming Dynasty named the Three Kingdoms. The “King of Yuancheng” in the seal was originally the king of the Cao Wei regime, named Cao Li, the son of Cao Cao. In 220 AD, Cao Pi usurped the Han Dynasty to establish the Wei regime, which was founded in the early Yellow Dynasty. In the second year (221) of the first year of the Yellow Emperor’s reign, Cao Li was granted the title of Duke of Qin, and took Jingzhao County as the country. In the third year (222), he was granted the title of King Jingzhao, in the sixth year (225), he was granted the title of King Yuancheng, and in the third year (229) of Taihe, he was granted the title of Hong. In the fifth year of Taihe (231), after Cao Ti, the son of Cao Kai, the king of Rencheng, succeeded Cao Li, the king of Liang was renamed in the sixth year (232).
