[Lu Guo-made copper tripod in the ninth year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty]
Lu Guo-made copper tripod in the ninth year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty, with a height of 21 cm, a width of 15.7 cm and a weight of 2.28 kg
The tripod is round, short neck, bulging belly, double upright ears, and four flat animal feet. The decorative pattern of the body is based on the back and hook patterns. The lower edge of the mouth is a cicada pattern. The main body of the belly is decorated with four groups of animal face patterns. The four-foot pattern is combined with the shape, which is like a climbing dragon
There is a yin cast seal inscription on the outer bottom of the device, and the word mouth is filled with paint. The square style is “respect for one master”, and the side style is “four pieces made by Lu State in the ninth year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty”
As an antique Yi ware, this tripod integrates the shape and decoration of three generations of ritual vessels, and moves the four feet of the square tripod to the round tripod. At the same time, it uses a flat, left-handed animal body to replace the round and upright column foot or hoof foot, thus breaking the traditional form of the tripod standing with three feet, and completing the double imitation of the other tripod and the round tripod in shape. The imitation casting of the decoration adopts the cicada pattern and animal face pattern, which were popular in the Shang and Zhou dynasties. The layout also does not change the ancient style of three generations with the animal face pattern as the main body and the cicada pattern belt as the subsidiary.
