Dong Qichang imitates Ni Zan’s landscape to form a fan

[Dong Qichang imitates the landscape of Ni Zan to form a fan]

The landscape of Ni Zan imitates the landscape of Ni Zan to form a fan. In the Ming Dynasty, Dong Qichang painted, gold paper, ink, 17 cm vertically and 50.5 cm horizontally
Self title: “The Yunlin landscape has no habit of painting history, and it is often imitated. Ten fingers are like immortals. Xuanzai.” Seal “Chang” Zhu Wenfang
This small fan scene imitates Ni Yunlin (Ni Zan) of the “Four Yuan Family” from composition to pen. The size of the fan is limited. The painter transformed the high and distant composition of the two banks of a river into a flat and distant view. The close-range painting of pine and cypress pavilion, the distant mountains across the water, and the artistic conception is empty and lonely. The painter uses the side edge to move the brush, imitating Ni’s folding and texturing method. Because the fan is made of gold paper and has poor water absorption, the strokes are slightly light and square.
