The author’s signature of this painting is: “Right Chu Guangxi’s Tian Jia Zaxing, written with Xu Jihai’s Tao Te Ching and Yan Pingyuan’s method. Dong Qichang.” The content of the book is the poem “Tian Jia Zaxing” by Chu Guangxi, a poet of the Tang Dynasty. Dong Qichang wrote this regular script with the strokes of Xu Hao and Yan Zhenqing, the highly respected calligraphers of the Tang Dynasty, which represents the typical style of Dong’s regular script.
