This is Ni Yuanlu’s seven-jue poem “To Li Xiucai is the grandchild of the Emperor” written by Du Mu, a poet of the Tang Dynasty. In the calligraphy circle of the late Ming Dynasty, the calligraphy of Ni Yuanlu and Huang Daozhou shared a unique characteristic. First of all, the structural arrangement is oblique and staggered, steep and unbridled, colorful and magnificent. Secondly, in the circulation and setbacks of Yunfeng, more gloomy and unskillful strokes are integrated. The stippling is also fragmented and weird, with a strong momentum and unique style. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, Kang Youwei said, “Ni Hong Bao Xin’s philosophy is particularly different.”
