• Description:
  Wang Xianzhi (344-386 AD), whose ancestral home is Langya (today’s Linyi, Shandong Province) and whose name is Zijing, is the seventh son of the calligrapher Wang Xizhi (303-361), known as Wang Daling. Calligraphy is as famous as his father, and he is also called “Two Kings”. In the history of calligraphy, Wang Xianzhi’s trip and Cao Cao were particularly outstanding. Mi Fu praised his calligraphy for its flexibility and naivety. He praised his “one stroke of calligraphy” for its brushwork, which was like “fire painting grey, without reason and carelessness.”
