The Story of Chen’s Fangcun Mansion is one of the three combined volumes of Zhao Mengfu, Yang Weizhen and Wei Su. It is a note written by Wei Su for the small building built by Chen Fujun, a general of the Song Dynasty

His calligraphy is precise and meticulous, with a smooth and stable structure, strong and simple style, uniform shape and size, vertical and horizontal order, which is quite similar to the style of Tang Dynasty calligrapher Yu Shinan. Tao Zongyi of the Ming Dynasty once said in the book History of Calligraphy, “The critical Wenzao is sensitive to support, good at regular script, and has the rules of Shi Zhiyong and Yu Yongxing.”
