The front yellow silk has thin gold inscriptions and seals of the Song Huizong across the water, which were recorded in Xuanhe Shupu, and also has the collection seals of the Jin Zhangzong and the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. The trustee was Zhou Fu (293-365), governor of Yizhou, who wrote it in his later years. The “Seventeen Posts” handed down from the Tang Dynasty also received this letter. However, it is rather stiff and lacks detailed changes in handwriting. It has lost the original appearance of Xizhi and is far from the vivid double hook ink copy.
