Green glaze carved flower pattern holding pot, Song Dynasty, 23 cm high, 5 cm caliber, 9.4 cm foot diameter
The pot has a straight mouth, a long neck, a cylindrical belly, and a round foot. Symmetrical plastic patterns are applied on both sides of the neck, a long curved stream is placed on one side of the shoulder, and a flat cylindrical handle is placed on the other side. The whole body is painted with green glaze, the glaze layer is thin, and the exposed part is dark brown. The abdomen is divided into a group of four carved vertical channels with six open lights, and the open lights are carved with broken flowers
The shape and glaze color of this pot are unique. Especially, the belly adopts the carving technology, and uses the color difference formed by the body and glaze to create the artistic effect of shallow relief. In the 1980s, specimens similar to this pot were collected at the porcelain kiln site in Guangyuan, Sichuan.
