[Yaozhou kiln blue-glazed flasks]

Yaozhou kiln blue-glazed flasks, Song Dynasty, 19.5 cm high, 9.5 cm caliber, 8 cm foot diameter
Bottle plate mouth, short neck, round belly, round foot. The carcass is gray. Green glaze is applied inside and outside. The glaze color is light, the glaze is translucent and moist, and the glaze surface has fine fragments. There is no glaze on the foot edge and inside the ring foot
This bottle is thick and slightly pomegranate shaped, commonly known as “pomegranate statue”
There are many kinds of bottles in Yaozhou kiln porcelain, the body of which is either slender and beautiful, or plump and dignified, but the pomegranate-like bottles are rare, which should be the early products of the Northern Song Dynasty. The glazes of Yaozhou celadon in this period were all of strong glass texture, evenly glazed, mostly with fine fragments, closely bonded with the body and glaze, without peeling. The varieties are mainly daily-use porcelain, and the shape has obvious inheritance relationship with the five dynasties Yaozhou kiln porcelain.
