  • Description:
This pottery bell is modeled after a bronze ware, with a round mouth and neck, a round belly, and a false circle foot. Low temperature green lead glaze is applied to the whole vessel, with uneven glaze layer and local peeling phenomenon; As water seeps into the glaze layer, colorful silver spots appear locally on the glaze surface. The outer edge of the opening, the neck shoulder junction and the outer abdomen of the utensil are decorated with string patterns, and the two sides of the abdomen are decorated with shop head rings. No matter the shape, glaze color and decorative features, they all show the style of the Eastern Han Dynasty. Archaeological examples show that most of these works were unearthed from tombs; The imperial poems of Emperor Qianlong carved on the outer wall of his belly also revealed that this work had been unearthed in the 24th year of Qianlong’s reign (1759) at the latest, and had been transported into the Qing Palace and became a royal collection.
