Ceramic painted warrior mask

[Ceramic painted warrior mask]

Ceramic painted warrior mask, North Dynasty, 9 cm high and 5.9 cm wide
The mask has pointed hair, broad forehead, frowned eyebrows, wide eyes, high nose, open mouth, exposed teeth, slightly upward ears, and full whiskers. Archaeological relics like masks have been found on bronze wares such as Sanxingdui in Guanghan, Sichuan, and Oceania in Xingan, Jiangxi. These masks may be related to the sacrifice at that time. In the Northern Qi Dynasty, the king of Lanling wore a mask to fight with the enemy because he was not fierce. Later generations also made this story into a drama and spread it widely. However, it is not clear whether this pottery painted warrior mask is related to it
