The monument was erected in the second year of Han Yonghe (137). The inscription records Pei Cen, the governor of Dunhuang in the Han Dynasty. The style of the script is ancient Li, which is from seal script to Li, and is vigorous and spicy. Kang Youwei’s “Guangyi Boat and Double Boats” said: “The ancient Maoxiong is deep and has the meaning of Qin Dynasty.” The monument is now in the Museum of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region
Huang Yi’s bibliography of small Penglai Pavilion. The postscript of Huang Yi: “Pei Cen, the governor of Dunhuang in the Han Dynasty, was inscribed in the second year of Emperor Shunhe of the Eastern Han Dynasty, which has not been seen in previous records. In the seventh year of Emperor Yongzheng’s reign, Yue Gong, the great general, obtained the son of a stone man in the west of the city of Balku of Western Sahara, and moved to the General’s Mansion. In the thirteenth year, Che Shi moved to the Guandi Temple. It was very difficult to copy the bitter and cold land, so the natives had the model carvers. This is a real pad, and it is not easy to get it. Mr. Zhan Xinmei, the Qian Gong, said that after Emperor Andi of the Han Dynasty, King Huyan of the Northern Huns often turned to Pulei and Qinhai, and ruled the west Domain, in total. It is a marvelous feat for the Dunhuang garrison to lead his troops to cover up the enemy’s entire division. However, the history of the Han Dynasty did not cover its affairs. It covered many bad policies in the dynasty, and many people were harmed by the achievements. The books of the border counties were piled up on the top. And this stone still exists for a long time. Is it not confined to a moment and exposed for thousands of years. Huang Yi wrote and read. “
