Tao Hu

[Tao Hu]

Tao Hu is 2.7 cm high and 7.8 cm long in the Eastern Han Dynasty
The fox’s pointed mouth extends forward, its ears are upright, its eyes are straight ahead, and it crawls forward. It seems to be looking for prey, and it has a strong sense of movement. Unearthed in Baiquan, Huixian County, Henan Province in 1951
There are many sculptures of animals in the Han Dynasty, but most of them are domestic animals, and foxes are rare. The unusual animals are so accurately molded with distinctive characteristics that people can clearly distinguish them at a glance, which shows the superb skills of the artisans of the Han Dynasty
