[Xiangtajun Stone Pillar]

Xiangtajun Stone Pillar, in the Eastern Han Dynasty, is 119.2 cm high and 33.5 cm wide
The text on the stone column is 10 lines and 417 words. This stone pillar is one of the stone pillars placed in the ancestral hall of Xiangtajun. It was erected in the second year of Yongxing of Emperor Huan of the Eastern Han Dynasty (154). The stone column is carved with portraits of people and animals on all sides. The upper part of the front part is carved with words, the top part is carved with “Xiangtajun Stone Ancestral Hall in Dong’axi Township, Dongjun Que County”, and the bottom part is carved with text, which records the reason and process for the establishment of the ancestral hall for Xiangtajun and his son Xiangwuyan. The column base is a beautifully carved divine beast. The inscription and calligraphy are natural, reflecting the style and features of official script in the Eastern Han Dynasty. There are few stone pillars inscribed in the Han Dynasty, and it is particularly rare that such a stone pillar is rich in content and beautifully carved. In 1934, this stone pillar was unearthed in Tietou Mountain, southwest of Donga County, Shandong Province
Recorded text: Changjili Xiangtajun Stone Ancestral Hall, Dong’axi Township, Jue County, Dongjun County. On the 27th day of the fifth lunar month of July in the second year of Yongxing’s reign, the orphan son Xiang had no trouble and his younger brother was headed by Zong Dun. My father, the chief official, died in the middle of May at the age of 90, and his food was poor, so he could not afford it; His mother was eighty-six years old and moved to Mao. He was ill on September 19th. It was not a bad thing to ask for a solution. On the 21st of the month, the situation suddenly did not recover. Ten years ago, the second parent flea went to the Ming Dynasty. He abandoned his grandson and never returned. The end of the emperor cannot be recovered. The descendants of the emperor, both inside and outside, and up to a hundred people, can do nothing but hold and cry. However, the chief official has always been loyal and filial, less lost his parents, lost his mourning as a rite, and cultivated his moral integrity as an official. The county officials, the city clerks, the chief clerk, the court clerks, the meritorious Cao, and the Zhaofu, even more divorced from the Yuan Dynasty, and raised the widows. The secretary of the son of Zhuo Jiao was a second official. The eldest son, Bonan, is a patient in the county. Cao Shuzuo has done nothing. Close the plan at the door, guard the Linyi Captain, supervise the Qian case, judge the history of the prison thief, and return the county’s official business, meritorious Cao, and Lord Bo to the county. The seat was unfinished, and the flea died in the second year of his life. Alas, the chief official has lost his son. The brothers were exposed to the grave, did not open the morning and summer, and the tomb was built with a negative picture. They planted pine and cypress, and stood up a stone ancestral hall, hoping that the soul of their two relatives would never end. At the age of 18, we are delighted by our descendants. Although the hall is small, it has lasted for a long time. It has been more than two years since it was taken from Shinan Mountain. There are more than ten people, such as Cao Cao, Qiu Rongbao, Gao Ping Daisheng and Shao Qiangsheng. The money is 25000 yuan. The waiter of Chaomo is not afraid to lose his heart. God does not thank him and his parents do not repay him. Brotherhood is better than kinship. The financial resources of the small hall show that there is a son’s way, which is worse than the road food. The only thing you can see is that you don’t want to be injured. You will live for ten thousand years and your family will be prosperous. All the people and horses here eat big warehouses.
