Jade nose button “Liu Xuan” seal

[Jade nose button “Liu” print]

Jade nose button “Liu” print, print face 2.1 × 2.1 cm, 1.3 cm in height
This is a private seal of the Eastern Han Dynasty. It is made of jade and has a broken nose button. The printed text is in Chinese seal and white characters. The word “Liu Xuan” is read horizontally from the right, and the mouth is deep and flat. Now the color of the original material on the surface of this print is indistinguishable, and the whole body has been soaked into bone color, formerly known as “chicken bone white”, which is also like light egg skin, but its luster is still discernible, moist and crystal, which makes people love it, but the texture is slightly light
At the beginning of the 1940s, Dai Fubao visited this seal from the suburbs of Changsha, Hunan Province, and was once afraid to show it to others. Later, on the way to Peiping, he secretly gave it to his friends and asked them to keep it. Wu Longsheng learned that Ni Yushu was working on collecting ancient jade seals at the time, so he told the matter. Ni Shi was eager to get the seal after learning it. He begged Dai Fubao to discuss with his friends about the separation of love. He was overjoyed to end the wish. He said that the seal could be classified as a heavy object of the royal family of the Han Dynasty without any textual research. The printed text is extremely neat and can be used as the standard for the printed text of the Eastern Han Dynasty.
