Portrait stone of Zhuque Pave’s head pattern door leaf (right), Eastern Han Dynasty, 112.5 cm high and 49.5 cm wide
This portrait stone is a pair with another one in the Palace Museum, which is on the right. The vermilion bird with wings is carved on the door leaf. The rosefinch has an elixir in its mouth. The wing feathers are represented by the Yin line. The middle part is the head ring, and the ears are flush. The white tiger is carved at the bottom, with its mouth open and its tail curled
