Painted pottery square pot, Han, mouth side length 11.5 cm, foot side length 12.6 cm, height 39 cm
The mouth of the pot and the sole of the foot are square, with a pyramidal roof square cover at four corners, and a pair of ears on both sides of the pot body. The whole body is decorated with black and red color patterns, and the neck and abdomen are painted with flowing cloud patterns, alternating with rhombus stripes
The shape and painted patterns of this square pot are modeled on the lacquer square pot of the same period. This kind of painted pottery was unearthed in the tombs of the Warring States and the Western Han Dynasty, and it may be a special burial object.
