- Image Number: K1A001676N000000000PAE
- Dynasty: Eastern Han dynasty
- Category: Bronzes
- Function: emperor’s seal
- Material: Mineral/Metal/Bronze
- Description:
The back of the turtle button is like a belt in the front, but the print is slightly thin and hollow in the center. The printed surface is “Xiu Gong De so as to keep the name of the virtuous people alive”, with four lines of 12 characters in fine Yang script, with edges, which belongs to auspicious language casual print; Luo Fuyi’s book An Introduction to the Auspicious Seal contains a seal that is the same as this one, but the strokes are slightly thick and clear, and it is suspected that the two seals were cast from the same mold.
