Jade dragon pattern honing

[Yulong grain honing]

Yulong grain honing, in the late Spring and Autumn Period, is 9.3 cm long, with a maximum width of 6.3 cm and a thickness of 0.3 cm
This jade pendant is made of Xinjiang Hotan sapphire. The surface has color change due to burial, and the part is yellowish brown. Its body is flat, fan-shaped, and its radian is more than half round. This shape is very rare in jade decoration in the Spring and Autumn Period. The two sides of the decoration are covered with hidden hook cloud patterns, which are dense and partially form the animal face on the side. The two ends of the Huang are in the shape of the side dragon head, and the edges change along the shape of the dragon head
Huang-like jade wares were produced in the Neolithic Age and used as ritual vessels and jade ornaments. In the Western Zhou Dynasty, it was popular to use jade ornaments as miscellaneous ornaments. Multiple jade ornaments appeared in a set of jade ornaments, arranged from top to bottom. This temporal influence lasted until the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. Therefore, the proportion of jade ornaments in the shape of jade ornaments was large. This jade pendant has only one hole in the upper part and no holes at both ends. No more objects can be hung on the lower part. It should be a jade pendant suspended at the lowest end of a group of jade ornaments.
