[Gui Chasing]

Gui Chasing is 38.6cm high, 44.5cm wide and 18.9kg heavy
Gui is a food container with a large body and a dome, with a round catch on the top, a large mouth, a bulging belly, a circle of feet, and a square seat attached to the bottom. The two sides of the abdomen have a retrospective dragon as the ear. The edge of the cover and the lower edge of the mouth are decorated with pilferage patterns, the abdomen is decorated with conjoined dragon patterns, and the square seat is decorated with rolled dragon patterns
The cover has the same inscription, casting 7 lines of 60 characters each:
Chasing the godliness on the eve of the “0095” Jue the death, and the sky
gives more time to recover. Chase and dare to raise the “0096” of the son of the emperor, and use it as the Gui of the emperor. The scholar who enjoyed filial piety before him, and prayed for the longevity of the eyebrow, followed by the son of heaven and died. Catch up with Sun Yongbao, his son of ten thousand years
The main idea of the inscription is to follow his work day and night with reverence, and the Emperor Zhou rewarded him many times. In order to thank and publicize the beauty of the Son of Heaven, he made a Gui in memory of his dead Wenzu. It is used to pay homage to the dead ancestors, to pray for old age, long life and a good end, and to be the minister of the Son of Heaven forever. This Gui will be used by our descendants for thousands of years
This chasing Gui is a relic of the Qing Dynasty Palace, which was originally stored in the Summer Palace
