The basin has a folded edge, a deep straight belly, and a round bottom. Clay red pottery. The abdomen is painted with two layers of triangular geometric patterns. The size and shape of the two layers of triangular patterns are the same, but the direction is opposite. It may be evolved from the fish pattern. The shape and decoration of this painted pottery basin have the typical characteristics of the painted pottery of the Banpo type of Yangshao culture in the Neolithic Age (about 4800~3900 BC)
