semi-annular jade pendant

[Jade Huang]

Jade Huang is 5.2 cm high, 10.6 cm long and 0.3 cm thick. Songze Culture in the Neolithic Age
The material of Huangyu is good, tawny and thin. It is nearly semi-circular, straight chord, concave in the middle, with a hole on both sides, and the two corners at the bottom are slightly extended. There is an arc groove on one side of the jade, which is the cutting mark left when the jade is cut. This kind of cutting mark often appears on the Neolithic jade. From the trace, we can see that the cutting method of wire cutting is used in the jade processing. The thickness of jade chips is about 0.3 cm, indicating that the technology of jade chip opening has reached a certain level at that time. The work is an irregular semicircle with two corners protruding, which shows that the decoration is not cut from round jade, but may be made from rectangular or triangular jade pieces
