Frank· Nicholas· Frank N. Meyer (1875— 1918), a Dutch, was sent by the U.S. Department of Agriculture in 1905 when he was 30 years old. He came to China alone for the first time to explore and collect woody plants. This work lasted three years. He returned to the United States in 1908 and took a large number of photos
