Carl· Carl Bock 1849-1932, a Norwegian and explorer, once worked in the Dutch East Indies, and was the Consul General of Sweden and Norway in Shanghai. At present, there is very little information about him. This group of photos comes from the French National Library. The title of this group of photos is “Shanghai, Suzhou and its surrounding areas”. There are 21 photos in total, including 5 in Shanghai and 16 in Suzhou
Photos are displayed in the form of book pages. Each photo is embedded in the middle, and the bottom is marked with a few lines of handwriting. Generally, the first line is Carl Bock photo1889, and the bottom is the location and basic description. (The English mark is the original mark recognized)
