- Dynasty: Western Han dynasty
- Category: Bronzes
- Function: Household appliance
- Material: Mineral/Metal/Bronze
- Description:
Round mirror, peak connecting button, nebula pattern button seat, the button seat outside and the mirror edge are mutually echoing inward sixteen curved arc patterns. The main ornamentation belt is composed of four stars and stars, with complicated and tangled arc stars and clouds. This mirror is similar to another nebula pattern mirror (hence copper 500) in the hospital, but it is larger and more complex. The Xingyun mirror was popular in the period of Emperor Wu and Emperor Zhao of the Western Han Dynasty. Its pattern was originally a deformed cobra dragon pattern with milk like protrusions on the joints. Due to the dense latex on the mirror straps, this bronze mirror is called Bairujian in the records of Song Dynasty and Qing Dynasty. This mirror has excellent texture and is the same as the Han Su Ru Jian recorded in Volume 29 of the “Xuanhe Bogu Tu”, so it was listed as the top of the ancient mirrors by the Emperor Qianlong.
