Deliberately patterned mountain shapes, crooked pine branches and heavily decorated moss spots scattered on the edge of the tree and stone show that this is a retro work in the late Ming Dynasty that pursues deformation and decoration. The romantic flower and tree slope bank in the painting is shrouded in fog, the rows of fine grass and colorful small rocks dotted on the bank reveal the painter’s intention to reproduce the delicate and romantic “small landscape painting” of the Southern Song Dynasty.
