- Image Number: K1C003265N000000000PAI
- Dynasty: Western Han dynasty
- Category: Jades
- Function: Miscellaneous apparatus
- Material: Minerals/Jade Jewelry/Shining Jade
- Description:
It is made of bluish white jade, and the whole body is slightly yellowish brown with dark brown spots. The whole vessel has a micro arc, with a hole in each corner, which may be a jade insert on an arc shaped artifact. The jade is delicate, exquisite and well polished. However, several traces of staggered tubes can still be observed above the animal’s back and buttocks, which can give a glimpse of the production techniques at that time.
