- Description:
Six petal lotus flower pot, with wide mouth and folded edge, shallow wall, flat bottom and three cloud heads. Glazed lotus root gray, covered with gray glaze spots of different shades. There were six fine round nail marks at the bottom of the organ, and white fetuses were exposed at the sole of the foot. The overall shape is neat, and the wall is flat and molded. The fetal bone is thick and hard, which was fired in Jingdezhen. There is no style for this piece. However, there are similar flower pots in the courtyard collection. The bottom center is engraved with three lines of seal characters “made in the reign of Emperor Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty”. This exhibition piece is similar to the Jun kiln flower ware of the Ming Dynasty unearthed by Yuzhou Pharmaceutical Factory in terms of shape, forming process and gray glaze color. (Refer to Ancient Porcelain 08535) It can be speculated that it is one of the patterns of Jun Kiln floral ware imitating the Ming Dynasty in the Yongzheng Period of the Qing Dynasty.
