It is made of sapphire. The landscape figures are embossed on both sides. On one side, the two scribes are chatting with each other. On the rock surface, a poem about Qianlong’s view in regular script is engraved: “The source of the imperial poetry is just a trickle, and the foot is spinning to see the hanging of ten thousand crossbows. Do not listen to it with your heart, but understand it from your own language.” The poem was recorded in “Complete Works of Imperial Poems and Prose of Emperor Gaozong of the Qing Dynasty – Three Episodes of Imperial Poems”, volume 67, page 22, “Watching the Waterfall”, Ding Hai (the 32nd year of Qianlong’s reign, 1767). On the other side, a senior official walked slowly with a staff, holding glossy ganoderma. The boy followed and put a bergamot on his shoulder.
