It is made of bluish white jade and is slightly brown. The animal face with animal eyes and eyebrows can be seen below (the animal face should face up when the sword is actually used). From bottom to top, the body is laid out in repeated decorative units to outline the simplified back of the animal body, which is a common pattern of decorative design from the middle of the Western Han Dynasty to the Eastern Han Dynasty. The sword is bound by its flat bottom and scabbard. The jade sword head, jade sword Tan (sword case) and jade sword Kuan (sword Kuan) are one of the complete components of jade sword. They are ritual tools to show the status of the nobility.
