  • Description:
This close-up depicts the water bank protruding horizontally to the right. There are tall trees connecting the close-up to the main mountain behind. The mountains are stacked, extended and twisted layer by layer, which is consistent with the “momentum” of Wang Yuanqi’s painting theory. The brush should be concise. After sketching the tree stone mountain with dry brush, it should be chapped and wiped to reduce the tingling. Titles: “A big crazy painting goes from light to thick. It conveys luck and qi to mind. Although it is rough and disorderly, it is more charming. The author can see how wonderful it is when he uses ink between lines. If he uses signs to seek it, it will be quite different.” This axis was made in 1707, and its composition and layout are similar to that of another great work of the same year, “The Painting of Huanggong Watching the Autumn Mountains”, or it is from the same manuscript.
