It is a fine blue white jade, and the foot palm is stained brown locally. Nose, forehead, ears and mane are light brown red, which is the natural weathered jade skin of the original jade. The Han Dynasty was good at carving with jade skin color, which was mainly popular from the late Western Han Dynasty to the Eastern Han Dynasty, such as the old jade 4086 and 5669, while the popularity of round carving animals was roughly the same time. In the Han Dynasty, the shape and outline of the animals in the round sculpture were refined by the stretcher. The shallow concave round marks after drilling can be seen in the fine parts of the wings and feet of this divine animal
