Qian Weicheng (1720-1772 AD), a native of Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, was named Zongpan and You’an. In the tenth year of Qianlong’s reign (1745), he was the No. 1 Scholar. He studied painting from four Yuan schools and four Wangs recently. He was instructed by Dong Bangda and entered the Southern Study.
