  • Dynasty: Qing dynasty
  • Category: Ceramics
  • Function: Container
  • Material: Minerals/Ceramics/
  • Description:
Its shape was inherited from the Kangxi Dynasty and was somewhat similar to the lantern statue popular in the Qianlong period. The bottom of the utensil is concave, and the foot is dug in shallow. The bottom of the utensil is in blue and white script “made in the reign of Emperor Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty” in two line regular script, with double circles. The flower patterns on both sides of the body are very abstract. From the decorative patterns, there are many blank displays, showing a very different decorative style from the traditional blue and white porcelain. It can be seen as a work of Yongzheng imitating Kangxi, but decorated with new patterns.
