This axis depicts a pair of golden pheasants perching on the lake stone beside the slope of the stream when the crabapple is in full bloom. The flowers in the painting are like brocade, and rare birds, Ruizhi, bamboo branches, etc. are all related to the meaning of good luck and longevity. The red bellied golden pheasant has rich and colorful colors, and the white highlights add color to it, which can create a feather luster, but its shadow is no longer on the ground. The depiction of Begonia flower and Ganoderma lucidum in the painting also pursues the change of light and shade, and the color is particular. However, the hillside bank is already a traditional Chinese painting, and the scenery is treated very carefully. Through the holes in the lake rocks, you can see crabapple and bamboo growing in the space behind it. The composition of this axis is more complicated than that of the “Longevity Changchun”, and the hillside is no longer just a background for matching plants and rare birds.
