  • Description:
The tradition of painting fish in the water appeared as early as the Song Dynasty. But different from this kind of traditional ichthyosae diagram, the ichthyosae diagram that Lang Shining dealt with, because it increased the size of the fish, and painted the duckweed on the water surface and the water grass under the big fish, forming a strange visual effect. The two big fish seemed to float in the air. From the traces of grass leaf patterns left along the perimeter of the picture, it seems that this work may have been originally used for painting on the wall of the palace, and then it was mounted in the form of a scroll.
